Soil Nutrition Effects on Kumara Root Yield and Quality

The current study is directed at understanding the mechanism by which brown centre (BC) is induced, so that the disorder can be more accurately predicted and controlled. This study confirmed that soil nitrogen is involved in the disorder, but that BC occurs independently of boron or calcium levels. Soil nitrogen levels also have significant effects on root yield and various aspects of quality.
