Enabling sea-freight of capsicums to Japan

Sea-freight of glasshouse-grown capsicums to Japan offers significant cost savings over conventional air-freight. This interim report describes progress to the end of a first season of a two-year project. This research is designed to deliver protocols for optimum capsicum storage during sea-freight. Their research findings have led to some general conclusions but large differences were found based on different districts and harvest times.
